Citi awarded Best Custodian Bank in Latin America
SAN JUAN — Financial services multinational Citi has been named, for a second year in a row, Best Custodian Bank in Latin America in Global Finance magazine’s World’s Best Securities Services Providers 2017 awards .
The bank also won Best-Custodian Bank in Argentina, Colombia, Peru and Chile, as well as a new category, Best Securities Lender in Latin America, for a total six awards.
“It is an honor to receive these awards which recognize the quality of our service, as well as the effort and dedication of each member of the team,” said Ricardo Hesse, Citi Securities Services head for Latin America. “For us, it is a priority to continue to provide our customers with the highest standards of quality service in all our products including our custody services,” he added.
Citi has been providing custody services in the region for more than 20 years, with offices in 21 countries. The bank was selected by Global Finance’s editorial board after much research and input from expert sources. Some of the criteria used to select winners included customer relations, quality of service, competitive pricing, technology platforms and business continuity plans, among others.
