Puerto Rico fiscal board changes dates related to claims management, reconciliation RFP

SAN JUAN – The Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico issued a request for proposals (RFP) on April 13 from parties interested in providing it and the
Fiscal Agency and Financial Advisory Authority (Aafaf) with claims management and
reconciliation services for entities in Title III proceedings under the Promesa law.

The deadline for responses was April 20.

On Tuesday, the fiscal board announced a modification in the timeline related to the RFP. The dates and activities changed are as follows:

– New date for selected applicants to provide demonstrations of software to the board, Aafaf and government agencies – May 3.

– New date for the selection of the contractor – May 11.

The scope of work involves “supporting the establishment of a claims resolution procedure for all Title III entities in the claims resolution process and will include an initial review and classification of existing claims as well as the development of reconciliation guidelines and a reporting and distribution process,” according to a board release.

Candidates, it said, will be evaluated and selected based on “professional qualifications, relevant past experience and the competitiveness of their financial proposal.”
