Puerto Rico governor to promote island while in San Francisco
SAN JUAN – Puerto Rico’s governor, Ricardo Rosselló, was traveling Tuesday afternoon to San Francisco to hold several meetings where he is seeking to highlight the advantages for innovators to establish themselves on the island, his office said.
On Wednesday, the governor is also expected to “make an important announcement for the Island with Airbnb,” the online market for short-term lodging rentals.
In addition, the release says, he will meet executives from “other innovative companies based in San Francisco” to let them know about the island’s virtues and benefits for business expansion.
Secretary of State Luis Rivera Marín will serve as interim governor until Rosselló returns Friday.
