Record Number of Entries for Cúspide 2016 Creativity Festival
SAN JUAN–A record 500 entries were submitted by local advertising agencies in Puerto Rico for this year’s edition of Cúspide, the local competition that highlights the industry’s creative output for the previous year. This represents an increase of 8% when compared to the number of entries for Cúspide 2015.
The festival, in its 34th year, also serves a way to gauge work local agencies will submit to regional and international festivals. Cúspide 2016 will take place on May 19 at the Puerto Rico Convention Center.
“We are proud that this record in entries is due in part to small and medium agencies, that do not have an international affiliation, keep betting on creativity as a focus of growth,” said Lizzette Quiñones, from local ad agency Populicom, who is at the helm of Cúspide 2016. “We are ready for a memorable celebration.”
Among the agencies are JWT with 48 finalists; Young & Rubicam with 26 finalists; Arco Publicidad with 22 finalists; DDB Latina with 19 finalists; Populicom with 10 finalists; BBDO Puerto Rico with 9 finalists; Adworks with five finalists; De La Cruz & Associates with seven finalists; TBWA\San Juan with six; Arteaga & Arteaga, Leo Burnett Puerto Rico, and Sajo García & Alcazar with three finalists each; and Lopito, Ileana & Howie with one finalist.
