StartUp Popular program: New round of financing begun
SAN JUAN – Banco Popular’s StartUp program, which began in 2016, provides financing, coaching and networking events related to capital access to Puerto Rico business owners who have been operating for less than two years and fulfill certain requirements.
This year, the 5th edition of StartUp Popular has a $2 million financing fund, which it is making available from through April 30.
So far, more than 60 entrepreneurs have moved their businesses forward with StartUp financing that has allowed them to carry out location improvements, purchase equipment and hire employees.
“We continue designing and improving efforts that back entrepreneurs, providing them with tools to meet their business goals,” Miguel Pérez, first vice president of Popular’s Business Banking division, said in a release.
