SAN JUAN – Ride-hailing service company Uber has announced that it added a new feature called Family Profile to its mobile application, in which 10 riders can share one payment method.

Uber’s spokeswoman in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, Julie Robinson, explained that “with the Family Profile the people included in the user list will be notified when taking your trip, they’ll be able to see the course of the trip and the time of arrival of the user.”

The new feature includes more information about the driver as well as real time data. “We are committed to providing a safe and reliable mobility option,” Robinson said.

“With this option, which is already available in other countries, we seek to offer a better service to users and greater confidence when moving about on the island,” he said.

Uber currently has about 4,000 drivers in Puerto Rico.
