Vivaris Capital Creates ‘Private Equity Hedge Fund’
SAN JUAN — Vivaris Capital, an asset investment company based in San Juan, recently opened its doors with the creation of what it calls the first-ever “private equity hedge fund,” the firm announced Wednesday via a press release.
The new investment instrument is designed to deliver an “enhanced risk-return profile” by combining the short-term gains typically provided by hedge funds with the long-term, more risk-averse approach of private equity funds, per company statements.
Apart from targeting middle-market companies and late-stage technology businesses that are at an inflection point and poised for growth, the fund also invests in and acquires value-added residential and commercial real estate developments, J. Christopher Mizer, Vivaris Capital managing partner and CEO, said.
Apart from Mizer, the Vivaris Capital website also mentions Steve Scholl as managing member and COO, Mark Hamade as managing member and operations manager, and Joby Weeks as partner.
