Armed men rob armored truck, injure security guard in Hato Rey

SAN JUAN – Four armed men robbed Monday morning an armored truck in Hato Rey, leaving a security guard wounded, police said.
The robbery was reported at 10:50 a.m. on Las Américas Avenue, near Roosevelt Avenue and the nearby Econo supermarket.
According to information provided by the police, the four gunmen beat a security guard, robbed the Ranger American of P.R. truck and stole an undetermined amount of money.
Subsequently, the culprits abandoned their car in the Las Monjas neighborhood and burned it.
Bank Robbery Division agents have taken over the investigation.
