B-to-B IT Conference to Spark Industry with Prominent Speakers, Opportunities
SAN JUAN – The Puerto Rico Information Technology Cluster, an industry, government and academia alliance, will be hosting its 3rd edition of the CIO & IT Leadership Conference on Friday, Feb. 26, at the Sheraton Puerto Rico Hotel & Casino in San Juan.
Private and public sector representatives will discuss the role of IT as an engine of innovation and economic development for the island. Among the topics to be presented are cybersecurity, IT talent development, big data and healthcare innovations.
The summit has become one of the foremost business-to-business (B-to-B) platforms in the Caribbean. Last year, the event was attended by more than 800 participants.
The speakers representing the private sector this year are Eric Singleton, co-founder of Strax Technologies Inc. and former CIO of CHICO’S FAS Inc. & Tommy Hilfiger Corp.; Fred Thiel, Predixion Software Inc. board member and adviser; Accenture’s North America Talent Acquisition Lead Fernando Rosario; Saul Cordero, former Sr. director of Retail Insights and Analytics at CVS Health; and Wovenware President Christian González.
Rounding out the speaker roster are gubernatorial candidates Pedro Pierluisi, Manuel Cidre and Alexandra Lúgaro will also be speaking at the event, along with Economic Development Secretary Alberto Bacó and Treasury Secretary Juan Zaragoza.
