Carlos Pesquera Delivers Endorsements to Elections Commission
SAN JUAN – The New Progressive Party’s (NPP) Carlos Ignacio Pesquera, who is running for resident commissioner, delivered Monday the 8,000 endorsements required by the State Elections Commission (CEE by its Spanish acronym) to be certified as a candidate.
At a press conference, Pesquera, who is also a former candidate for governor from the NPP in the 2000 general elections, presented his campaign team for the coming months. Among the members are publicist Tere Suárez, from the FiftyOne company, and Edward Zayas, who will be the campaign’s press and media director. The team also includes Armando Feliciano, in charge of field operations; Jula Eva Pesquera, the candidate’s sister, in charge of the electoral team; Fernando Sánchez and Beba Calbeto as investigations and field assistants; Roberto Biaggi and Felipe Carro as co-directors of the campaign resources team; and Rafael Dávila as treasurer.
Pesquera is part of Pedro Pierluisi’s ticket as candidate for governor. In the June 5 primaries, Pierluisi will face off with Ricardo Rosselló, whose running mate as candidate for resident commissioner is legislator Jenniffer González.
