Chamber of Commerce to Hold Next Convention in San Juan
SAN JUAN—The Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce will hold its yearly convention June 9 to 11 under the theme “Innovation and Collaboration.”
The event will be held at the Sheraton Puerto Rico Hotel & Casino in the San Juan metropolitan area to attract more people and businesses.
“The main reason for holding our convention this year in San Juan is because in the metro area is where we have the highest number of our members and where the public that will benefit from our convention is located,” Chamber President, Dr. José Vázquez Barquet, said in a statement.
The event will have a varied menu of events and exhibitors, a fashion event, parties and award receptions as well as a forum with gubernatorial candidates.
On June 9, there will be a “Conversatorio sobre Innovación” or talk about innovation. On that day, the Network of Business and Professional Women will hold a talk titled: Social Media Strategies Innovation. There will also be an activity titled “Círculo de Negocios B2B All Star Edition”, about innovative businesses, and a workshop titled “Foro-Taller: “A Mal Tiempo Buena Cara”, offered by Juan Pablo Gutiérrez, of LAB787; Sebastián Vidal, of Parallel18; and Enrique Rentas, of DDB Latina Puerto Rico.
On June 10, there will be a forum with the gubernatorial candidates during a panel titled “Puerto Rico nos toca a todos: on ideas to activate the economy.” On that day, there will also be a forum titled “Foro de Innovación: Herramienta de Desarrollo Económico”.
The activities will culminate with a gala party and the chamber’s annual assembly on Saturday, followed by a banquet.
