Coworking Space Piloto 151 to Open in Santurce
SAN JUAN – Piloto 151, Puerto Rico’s first coworking space, has announced it will open its second location along with its new partner, investment fund RioBlanco Capital Management. Entrepreneurs looking for a workspace alternative with a variety of service assistance options will now be able to cowork in Santurce.
Since its launch three years ago in Old San Juan, Piloto 151 has contributed to the growth of the island’s startup and tech ecosystem with its product and service assistance in launching and growing a business. All memberships, which are month to month, include utilities and an enterprise-ready network with high-speed fiber optic internet. The space also hosts tech and other educational seminars
For Sofia Stolberg, co-founder and CEO of Piloto 151, opening in Santurce was a “no-brainer,” as a release announcing the plan put it.
“In recent years we’ve witnessed Santurce’s business transformation. It is now much more than a hub for artists and foodies and is quickly becoming a hotbed for startups and the tech scene on the island. We’re opening a second location there to serve this market and to contribute to its continued rise and growth,” Stolberg said.
Piloto 151 offers memberships such as the “Virtual Office,” which includes three day passes a month to work out of the space, documentation to operate under the space’s use permit, fast-track permitting assistance, mail management and conference-room usage, which all memberships enjoy; and the “Café” membership, which includes daily use of the space. Dedicated workstations are available with the “Estación” membership; and the “Estudio” membership is for companies that want their own office within the space.
Piloto’s Santurce Suites will be even more spacious and include additional services such as a receptionist and a personal concierge. Members may also use the space in Old San Juan.
“We want entrepreneurs to focus on what really matters – sales and growth. We make it easy for companies and individuals to launch and grow their businesses on the island by providing a one-stop-shop of business services including incorporation and certification under Acts 20/22, fast-tracked permitting, mail management, staffing and tech services, among others,” Piloto 151 co-founder Juan Carlos Stolberg explained. “We deal with the red tape and other time-consuming matters that all businesses face in Puerto Rico.”
The Piloto 151 Santurce Suites, which is slated to open in June in RioBlanco Capital Management’s building on Ponce de León Avenue, is already taking reservations.
