Director of Puerto Rico Permits Office resigns
Latest in a wave of resignations
SAN JUAN – Puerto Rico Economic Development Secretary Manuel Laboy confirmed Wednesday that the assistant secretary of the Permits & Endorsements Management Office (OGPe by its Spanish acronym), María Cintrón Flores, has resigned.
“That’s right. The architect María Cintrón presented her resignation, effective August 2,” Laboy said in a WKAQ radio interview.
The official indicated that the permitting process has not been affected because he has already implemented a transition process for the director’s departure. Cintrón was appointed in mid-January.
Laboy also said he had no information about whether Gov. Ricardo Rosselló’s resignation would come about Wednesday.
