Disney Cruise Line returns to Puerto Rico in 2020

By on October 3, 2018

SAN JUAN – The Puerto Rico Tourism Co announced Wednesday that among Disney Cruise Line’s announced itineraries for the beginning of 2020, the Disney Wonder returns to its home port in Puerto Rico.

The ship sets sail for the Southern Caribbean during two seven-night voyages departing Jan. 19 and 26 from San Juan.

The government-owned corporation in charge of tourism in Puerto Rico said the confirmation is the result of its efforts by the Government of Puerto Rico and Gov. Ricardo Rosselló, via the Tourism Co., which is “responsible for maintaining commercial relations with airlines and cruise ships with the end goal of increasing air and maritime access” to the island.

“Disney Cruise Line returns to our port, which demonstrates the commitment of everyone to the development of our economy through tourism, short- and long-term. Besides, it gives local travelers the opportunity to have a different alternative mostly aimed at the enjoyment of the whole family. Likewise, it causes travelers interested in boarding this type of vessel to arrive at our airports and, before and after their voyage, enjoy the attractions offered by the Island,” said the Tourism Co.’s executive director, Carla Campos.

Reservations for departures from San Juan can begin to be made Thursday.
