elCornerSAN JUAN – On Monday, “elCorner” became part of the mobile apps world with platform that aims to improve the experience for its nearly 200,000 users.

elCorner is a virtual sales platform that was born on the Facebook social network. It grew exponentially with thousands of Puerto Rican users.  The app provides a free marketing space for items that are no longer in use.

According to its developers, the app stands out by encouraging moral values and promoting a culture of re-use, exchange and optimization of resources. The goal, they say, is for it to become “a network of opportunities for every Puerto Rican home, whose experience does not limit itself to the exchange of goods, but that actually boosts the most basic values on which a structured and productive society is based on.”

In its new application, elCorner includes such tools as evaluation and ranking of members, following a favorite user, notifications of posts, monitoring of turns and a report system designed to optimize the experience of the transactions among users.

The app is available to download at the Apple Store for iOS and Google Play for Android.
