Expedia to present data on Puerto Rico, Caribbean tourism market
SAN JUAN — Travel and tourism industry experts from online travel agency Expedia will be presenting data on market behavior in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. They will also offer business alternatives and solutions that support company development. The event will take place Feb. 28 at the San Juan Marriott Hotel and Stellaris Casino at 4 p.m.
“This initiative is part of a group of educational seminars we are carrying out to support our partners and the general public–with data, trends and innovative information so they can adapt it to their respective businesses,” said Clarisa Jiménez, chief officer of the Puerto Rico Hotel & Tourism Association (PRHTA), which is organizing the workshop.
“In this edition, we wanted to bring a summary of the presentations that were given at the annual conference held by Expedia in Las Vegas. The extremely valuable data and information can benefit the [tourism] businesses of all those who participate,” she explained.
During the seminar, consumer behavior with respect to the Caribbean region and Puerto Rico will be explained, as well as data about available alternatives and best practices implemented worldwide. Moderators will provide data that could be vital to companies in their development of work plans.
Marketing tools available to help businesses grow will be presented as well. As a travel company that operates travel fare aggregator websites and travel metasearch engines, Expedia has a unique take on the market from which attendees can benefit.
A networking opportunity will be available after the presentation is over. For more information, write to email@example.com.
The PRHTA has more than 450 corporate partners, among them large, midsize and small hotels, restaurants, airlines and other businesses that operate in Puerto Rico’s tourism industry.
