Freeway Logistics: Success Through Top-Notch, Customized Solutions

Freeway Logistics has placed itself among the leaders when it comes to third-party logistics in Puerto Rico with its commitment to building close working relationships with clients that lead to tailor-made solutions that address their specific needs.
“Being a third-party logistics company, we handle everything within the supply chain industry from storage, pick and pack to transportation, among other things. Our ability to forge a close relationship with our customers allows us to customize these elements of logistics into solutions,” said Freeway Logistics’ CEO, Elsie Siegel. “No two clients are the same, and our ability to customize has been the reason behind our success.”
Along with husband and business partner Stephen Siegel, president and COO of Freeway Logistics, a second-generation warehouseman, they have led an operation that has served the Puerto Rico market for more than 18 years.
While Puerto Rico may be considered Freeway Logistics’ headquarters for the Caribbean and Latin American region, in 2018, the company launched its stateside operations, opening facilities in Houston. Through its Puerto Rico and Texas operations, Freeway Logistics serves more than 50 clients in such industries as pharma, telecom, household goods, retail, manufacturing and packaging.
Freeway Logistics provides a wide array of value-added solutions, utilizing state-of-the-art technology and real-time online visibility, with services that include cross-docking, pick and pack, warehousing, transportation, fulfillment, and other value-added services that range from light manufacturing and assembly to kitting, labeling and barcoding.
“We become a true partner to our client,” Elsie said. “It is a source of true satisfaction to see that our clients grow their business and that our custom-designed logistics solutions are part of that success.”
As a result of the company’s collaboration with customers, it has experienced growth of its own. With headquarters in Royal Industrial Park in the Palmas Sector of Cataño, Freeway Logistics has grown from 14,000 square feet in 2004 to 100,000 square feet, and in Houston, it expanded from 32,000 square feet in 2018 to 100,000 square feet today. “Our workforce has been essential in this growth. With little turnover and constant, continued training, they have a deep understanding of the business and excel at bringing those solutions to life,” Elsie added.
