Government Extends Vacation Days for Public Employees
Puerto Rico Interim Gov. Omar Marrero announced on Tuesday that due to the upcoming holiday’s on July 26 and July 27, public workers can take the rest of the week off [July 28-30] if they use their vacations days.
The release does not apply to essential service public workers, and it will also be at the discretion of each agency to determine which departments will continue to provide the services to guarantee continuity of services. The Office of Human Resources Management and Transformation (OATRH by its Spanish acronym) will issue a memorandum for this purpose.
