Insignia Senior Living, Medholdings Capital Acquire Parkville Home for Seniors

Parkville in Guaynabo Becomes Insignia’s 5th Community in Puerto Rico 

SAN JUAN – Insignia Senior Living, a leading senior living company in Puerto Rico, announced Wednesday that, together with MedHoldings Capital LLC, which finances and operates companies in the United States and Latin America with a focus on the healthcare industry, their  acquisition of Parkville Home in Guaynabo.  

With the integration of Parkville Home as its fifth community in Puerto Rico, Insignia strengthens its position as one of the top players in the senior living industry throughout Latin America and “reaffirms its strong commitment to providing high quality services to this population,” the company said in its news release, adding that the “acquisition marks the accomplishment of an important milestone for Insignia since it fills up the demand for services in the Senior Living industry in Puerto Rico.”

Insignia said it will now focus its efforts on its continued expansion stateside and in Latin America.

Cruz. “With this investment we reinforce our confidence in Insignia Senior Living’s team and their ability to lead the transformation of how seniors are cared for in Latin America and the southeastern United States,” added Gabriel L. Cruz, partner at MedHoldings Capital.

The new community, to be known as Insignia Parkville, will operate “under the concept of Senior Living for older adults who are independent or who need some type of assistance with their activities of daily living. Insignia Parkville currently has space for 114 residents, spacious common areas, recreational spaces, a beauty salon, multiple dining rooms and beautiful gardens for the enjoyment of residents and their families. Together with the experienced team at Insignia Senior Living, Insignia’s proprietary signature programs will be implemented and Insignia Parkville’s 80+ associates will be trained on best practices based on Insignia’s decades of experience in the industry,” the release reads.

Insignia Parkville starts at $3,000 a month and includes basic assistance, a specialized nutrition plan, medication management, coordination of medical appointments with specialists and entertainment, among other services.

In Puerto Rico, besides Insignia Parkville, the company also operates the following communities: Residence Senior Living, Miramar Living, Villa Serena and the recently opened Insignia Caparra.
