Labor Department Relocates San Juan Unemployment office
SAN JUAN – Labor Department Secretary Vance Thomas announced Sunday the relocation of the San Juan unemployment office.
“Complying with the government’s mandate to achieve savings in the administration of agencies’ resources, and after reevaluating office space and taking into account a number of elements, we have made the decision to relocate the services offered by our unemployment office in San Juan,” Thomas said in a statement.
He added that San Juan’s current office will provide service until noon Monday, but starting Wednesday, the new location will be the 12th floor of National Plaza, on 431 Ponce de León Ave. in Hato Rey.
The secretary said the department’s services are also available 24 hours a day on its website, www.trabajo.pr.gov, or through its automated response system, at 787-625-7900.
The agency also has offices in Carolina, Bayamón and the One Stop office in Río Piedras’ Georgetti Street.
