The Employment & Unemployment Survey, which is obtained through visits to a representative sample of households, also showed that the adjusted total employment stood at one million jobs, or an increase of 8,000 more people employed than in March 2015 (992,000).

The report also showed that the labor-force participation rate stood at 40.3%, representing no change when compared with March 2015.

The nonfarm payroll employment survey reflects that various industries saw job creation increases. The survey excludes government, private household, nonprofits that provide assistance to individuals and farm employees.
