SAN JUAN — The U.S. stock market came back with gusto after the European bourses recorded their best trading day since early June. This led to a rally that spread all across the world. Most sectors finished the trading session in the black.

• The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index closed at 3,281.06, up 53.14 points, or 1.61%.
• The NASDAQ Composite Index closed at 11,117.52, up 203.96 points, or 1.87%.
• The Birling Capital Puerto Rico Stock Index closed at 1,471.94, up 15.45 points, or 1.06%.
• The U.S. Treasury 10-year note closed lower, at 0.67%.
• The U.S. Treasury 2-year note closed flat, at 0.14%
