MIDA Celebrates National Family Day with Get Creative in the Kitchen

Puerto Rico Chamber of Food Marketing, Industry & Distribution (MIDA by its Spanish acronym) returned with “Get Creative in the Kitchen,” a campaign to celebrate National Family Day next September 27.

MIDA will use the special celebration to promote the benefits of cooking at home with a series of “quick, easy, and inexpensive recipes” while promoting the participation of family members in the process.

“The pandemic confirmed to us that food prepared at home is the best option when it comes to eating. By buying fresh food and having control of the preparation, we provide the best for our family. It is important to teach our children that eating together is a tradition that has not been lost and that its preparation can be fun,” said Ferdysac Márquez, president of MIDA.

National Family Day is celebrated on the fourth Monday of September to encourage closeness between family members.
