SAN JUAN – The Secretary of the Department of Health, Lorenzo González Feliciano, said Thursday that the most recent report on COVID-19 added more than 350 positive cases of samples taken since March 31 but that had not been reported.

“The total of the serological test results recorded in the last report is 121; however, the total number of unique positive cases from serological tests was adjusted to reflect 355 additional results. Samples from these cases were taken from March 31 to May 16. These results were identified through the efforts of different entities, clinical laboratories and the Department of Health to ensure that all samples taken for COVID-19 are registered in the Bio Portal, regardless of the date…,” González Feliciano said in a statement.

The official indicated that in the past few hours, 130 unique positive case results were recorded between serological and molecular tests. With these additional results, the total results for serological tests total 3,186; meanwhile, the total number of unique positive cases is 4,508. Of this total of unique positive cases, 2,298 correspond to women and 2,210 to men.

He specified that when the report was released, nine positive cases were registered from molecular tests, thus the total of positive results reported from these tests is 1,322.
