Passenger Transportation Approaching Record on Last Day of San Sebastián Street Festival

By on January 17, 2016

SAN JUAN – The number of passengers who have used the public transportation system to reach the San Sebastián Street Festival is registering a 20 percent increase compared with 2015, and could become a record.

Over the weekend, thousands headed to the Cataño boat terminal and the Sagrado Corazón train station to use the public services, Transportation Secretary Miguel Torres Díaz said.

“We have seen a steady increase with regard to public transportation. If the pattern established since Thursday continues, these festivities will become the second year in which the highest number of passengers has been moved using public transportation this decade,” Torres Díaz said, adding that the increase evinces the trust people have in the public ferry and train.
