Popular branches will be closed Thursday


Bank announces plans related to potential tropical cyclone
SAN JUAN — Puerto Rico’s largest bank, Popular, informed its customers that, due to the potential cyclone No. 9, Wednesday, all its branches were closed at 2 p.m., and the rest of the operations at 3 p.m., and that on Thursday, July 30, the institution’s branches and main buildings will remain closed.
TeleBanco Popular and ATMs will continue to operate, electricity and telecommunications service permitting. All operations are expected to resume Friday, July 31, as weather conditions allow.
To make transactions, customers can use MiBanco Móvil or visit any of the Popular ATMs that have electric power service.
