Puerto del Rey to host Caribbean International Boat Show this weekend
Will showcase 100 exhibitors, including boats of all sizes and maritime products, in largest event of its kind in the region
SAN JUAN – For the eighth consecutive year, the Puerto del Rey marina in Fajardo will host the biggest event of its kind in the region, the Caribbean International Boat Show (CIBS).
On March 22-24, the renowned marina will feature more than 100 exhibitors who will be showcasing new boats and yachts as well as the latest nautical accessories, equipment and other products, all while surrounded by live entertainment.
Arturo Guzmán, who is handling the event’s production, said “the Captain’s Bar will be 4,000 square feet and our stage will feature calypso bands, Pj Sin Suela and Vico C,” as well as La Sociedad de DJ, while TV presenter Jackie Fontánez will be hosting the event, which will include “a wide variety of food, drinks and activities for the entire family,” organizers said.
“It is always exciting to watch people from around the world come in to see everything our Island and Marina have to offer for the nautical industry,” Carolina Corral, the marina’s CEO, said in the announcing release. “The CIBS is more than a showcase for boats, it is a great space for networking and having fun. We wish to invite everyone to come; we promise you will have a good time.”
The event starts Friday, from at 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. It will continue Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and conclude Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
