SAN JUAN – During its annual convention, the Puerto Rico Manufacturers Association (PRMA) ratified the appointment of Rodrigo Masses, president of Makro Importers & Distributors Inc., as its president for the 2016-2018 period, Executive Vice President Francisco García announced.

The direct nomination candidate, Eric Santiago, announced the withdrawal of his candidacy “in hopes of maintaining a strong and united institution to face Puerto Rico’s challenges.”

The new PRMA board is further comprised by Vice President Lourdes Cárdenas, Vice President of Service Georgyanne Ríos, Vice President of Industries Abroad Ricardo Zayas, Vice President of Puerto Rican Industries Julio Bravo, Treasurer Larry A. Lugo Cruz, and Secretary Tom Vincent.

The new board was sworn in at the end of the assembly.
