The number of confirmed deaths to date totals 216 and the probable ones 130, for a combined 346.

“The change in the number of deaths should not be interpreted as having occurred in the last 24 hours,” the department explained, adding that “it is important to point out that the death report may vary,” reflecting the registration process “of the causes of death, … which could take several days.”

The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 to date is 12,371.
“The total was adjusted after adding 15 cases with a sampling date of July 18 to 29. Of that total, 6,449 are women and 5,918 men; four cases remain under investigation in this area. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sample collection date of August 3 to 14.

“As part of the report, 394 additional probable cases were registered, with a sampling date that ranges from August 5 to 15.
