Puerto Rico to Host National Cannabis CofC Convention
SAN JUAN – Puerto Rico will be the host of a National Cannabis Chamber of Commerce (NCCC) convention on Feb. 19 to help develop the industry on the island.
John Reyes, vice president of Academic Sciences of Puerto Rico (ASPR), made the announcement Monday while informing that the company had joined the NCCC in December.
“We are pleased to be members of this prestigious organization, which helps prepare this developing industry that focuses on medical products that use cannabis,” he said.
The NCCC is devoted to promoting standards and professionalism in the cannabis industry that include job creation and models of business development.
“The success of this industry entails getting to know the product, the specific needs of each jurisdiction and how to apply them to the market. This is an industry that is rapidly emerging and we need to be ahead and joining the NCCC affords us the opportunity to grow,” he said. “This convention opens good opportunities to businesses in the cannabis industry.”
