Puerto Rico tourism industry expecting $197M investment
SAN JUAN — To celebrate the launch of emblematic project ESJ AZUL, from ESJ Collection, Isla Verde Group LLC CEO Keith St. Clair presented Tuesday new initiatives for ESJ’s projects, headed by his company.
These initiatives represent a $197 million investment and thousands of job creations. the company’s main goal is to expand tourism, medical tourism, and the cinematographic industry in Puerto Rico.
“These alliances and projects represent opportunities to promote Puerto Rico as an international brand, in addition to job creations and the country’s economic growth,” said St. Clair in written declarations.
The group will continue renovating ESJ AZUL, which has been in production for the past 18 months, and construction of two new properties, ESJ VERDE and ESJ NOIR, to be added to the ESJ Collection. This plan also includes the construction of a new cinema studio and global class production.
In addition, ESJ Collection clients may enjoy a hospital center to be located in Old San Juan. The company will also develop a health center in Carolina to develop medical tourism in order to attract millions of Americans who seek medical attention and undergo procedures outside the United States.
St. Clair was accompanied by State Secretary Luis Rivera Marín, PRTC Director José Izquierdo, Carolina Mayor José Aponte Dalmau, and Rep. Ángel Matos García.
