Raúl Castro Meets Peru’s Humala in Havana
SAN JUAN – Cuban President Raúl Castro met with his Peruvian counterpart, Ollanta Humala, who arrived in Cuba for an official visit Thursday.
Both heads of state talked about bilateral relations between their countries and their willingness to strengthen and expand the historic relationship. They also exchanged views on different regional and international topics.
Humala’s delegation included Peru’s foreign relations minister, Ana María Liana Sánchez; foreign commerce and tourism minister, and Blanca Magali Silva. Peru’s ambassador to Cuba, Hugo E. Jara Facundo, also participated in the meeting.
Cuba’s attending officials were: Foreign Relations Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parilla, Interim Foreign Commerce Minister Antonio Carricarte, Interim Minister of Education Cira Piñeiro de Alonso, and Cuba’s ambassador to Peru, Sergio González.
