Rosselló Proposes ‘Single Employer’ System to Manage Public HR

By on February 12, 2016

SAN JUAN – Dr. Ricardo Rosselló has proposed a mechanism to maximize public servants’ productivity while producing savings of millions of dollars in public funds.

The New Progressive Party gubernatorial hopeful’s proposal comes at a time when the police chief has announced an open call to recruit 300 civilians following the departure of a large number of officers.

“This is about a ‘Single Employer.’ The government has very good resources, but in many cases they are in areas where they cannot be productive. Meanwhile, there are other areas that need the talents of these human resources. Our proposal allows for the mobility of public servants so they can be where they are most productive for the people while providing [those public employees] a space for professional growth within the government,” Rosselló stated.
