TELL(h)ER Empowerment Summit to Be Held in Puerto Rico
SAN JUAN — On April 24-26, the exclusive, 300-person TELL(h)ER Summit 2020 in San Juan will provide “a space for people of all backgrounds to tell their stories” in a conference curated by diverse professionals, or TELLERS, who guide attendees in a “multitude of creative outlets,” according to the organizers.
TELLERS kick-off the weekend with a keynote by HBO’s award-winning journalist, media producer and philanthropist Soledad O’Brien. Other speakers include best selling author Elizabeth Gilbert and the Forbes.com recognized “Maya Angelou of the Millennial Generation,” Azure Antoinette.
“Attendees organically rejuvenate and reset while enjoying the beautiful island of Puerto Rico with a flexible, three-day agenda designed for conscious connection and restful reflection. Intentionally held in the U.S. territory, TELL(h)ER wanted to do their part and bring economic growth, compassion and deserved attention to our sister country,” the summit’s press release reads.
The organizers said the “movement jumpstarts” in Los Angeles on Feb. 12 with a women’s empowerment panel discussion moderated by author and Playboy writer Bruna Nessif. Panelists include Hailie Sahar (Pose), Hydeia Broadbent (HIV Advocate), Stephanie Drachkovitch (TV Exec) and Yris Palmer (Beauty Entrepreneur).
“This is a moment to be on the right side of history. On the side that not only says she is equal; but demands a fair wage. On the side that not only makes space at the table; but delivers the slab to her front door. Be a part of the movement,” the summit’s website reads.
