UPR Retirement System to Provide Forms Online

By on February 15, 2016

SAN JUAN – The University of Puerto Rico’s (UPR) Retirement System has informed that a change has been implemented this year in the way its pensioners and participants receive the forms they need for their tax returns, which will no longer be mailed.

The decision was made to streamline services and reduce shipping and handling costs.

The income form (Form 480) for 2015 will be available on the retirement system’s website or at the Plaza Universitaria service center from Feb. 29 to March 24.

“From now on, the [Internet] portal will be our primary means of communication with participants and will allow them to access various documents. Since December 2015, participants were informed that we wanted to provide quick and efficient services and invited them to register on the ‘Mi Retiro’ portal,” María Del Carmen López, executive director of the UPR Retirement System, explained.
