Venezuela Hikes Gasoline Prices
SAN JUAN – The Venezuelan Ministry of Petroleum and Mining has increased the price of gas in the country on Friday after publishing an officially resolution.
The resolution states the 95-octane gas will have a base price of $0.94 and the 91-octane gas will cost $0.16, as President Nicolás Maduro announced Wednesday. Wholesale gas prices will also be determined by the ministry via a circular letter.
The resolution also states that the sale of gas for internal combustion engines in unauthorized stations “is strictly prohibited by the ministry.”
