Workshop on Filing Business Permits Will be Held Friday

SAN JUAN – The president of the United Retailers Association (CUD by its Spanish initials), Jesús E. Vázquez Rivera, announced that a second workshop will be held Friday, Feb. 19, to guide the trade group’s members and small- and midsize-business owners in the filing of the Single Permit and using the Single Business Portal (SBP), which streamlines the permitting process.
“At CUD we have a commitment to the economic development of Puerto Rico. For that reason, we are in collaboration with the OGPE [Spanish acronym for Permits and Endorsements Management Office] to help small and medium-sized entrepreneurs to file their permits in a simple way. The SBP has improved significantly and we are sure that it will become the best technological platform because it has an innumerable features that will provide us with the best statistical data on the island’s economic scenario,” Vázquez said.
The workshop will begin at 10 a.m. and it will be broadcast live via the Microsoft Teams platform from the studio of the Government of Puerto Rico’s station, WIPR Televisión.
The engineer Gabriel Hernández, who is OGPE’s assistant secretary-designate and CUD’s president will participate in the workshop, which is free.
